The first model from my Blood Angels army, a scout from the Rogue Trader era. Fun to paint.
I hand painted the Blood Angels symbol instead of using a transfer due to the shape of the shoulder pad; it turned out ok.

Very nicely done, and very colourful! 🙂 I can see why you’d want to paint the marking, with that “bump” on the shoulder pad, but it’s come out really well!

Thanks John yeah I think it looks pretty good especially for a first attempt. We’ll see how I go though whether I use transfers for the rest of the army!!

Oh I like this guy – the 2nd-wave old-school scouts in the colourful gear of their time! I feel like this set of models ended up being a big part of the inspiration for the Necromunda Goliaths not too much later on!

Indeed. You could easily use these guys as Goliaths, in fact I would prefer them to the actual Goliath models! Glad you like him anyhow!
